Perth

We headed to Perth a day earlier than expected, to sort out a few things.  Then unbeknowns to us, so did Cam, Ton, Jordan and Riley.  We all arrived at the caravan park the same arvo.  So nice to catch up with our mates again.  We will spend a few days with these guys before going to Bali

We also went to our family friends from Tassies house.  Mitch and Sandra were so nice to have us for dinner.  We had a great night catching up with Bob, Karen, Bell, Ella, Josh and everyone else.  Made us miss all our families at home.  The kids had a ball playing with Willow, Lilly and James.

Ton and Cam were getting sorted to settle down and start work.  The kids ran around playing as usual.  They even made a shop, selling their merchandise to the parents.   We went to Mandurah and had a picnic lunch of fish and chips.  Funniest day when Mark got attacked by a pelican after his piece of fish.  Had tears almost rolling down our faces.  We stayed at Goldens Ponds about half an hour south of Perth for a few nights then moved into the city for the last bit.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and we went exploring around Fremantle.  A great area, we really enjoyed wandering around the market and the forshore. The statues were pretty cool.  Mark particularly like Little Creatures Brewery!!!

Lunch at the Market

Little Creatures...... Marks in heaven, I think he wants to live here.  He certainly wanted the beer keg lights.  He went on a beer tour and the kids and I played around and waited.  Gotta love a man with a passion!

Our lovely darling friend Ton looked after the kids for the arvo so Mark and I got to go out by ourselves.  We ended up having a blast exploring the city and acting like children.........

We took the kids into Kings park, what a place, we loved it.  Now we know why everyone raved about it.  Such a huge green beautiful area right in the CBD.  The views over the city are just amazing, your up so high... loved it.  We spent a lovely day there playing and exploring.

We really enjoyed Perth, for a city its a really nice one.  We didn't have a lot of time to explore, plus we had just spent two months exploring and are now off to Bali!!  Very very excited.  First time for the kids to leave the country.  We said farewell to Ton,Cam and kids and hope to see them again soon.

Bunbury

After leaving Margaret River, a sad day! We went to Donnybrook, a small town with an amazing playground.  Kids and Mark had a fabulous time playing on all the equipment.  A very popular place.

Our plan was to stay at a free camp in Collie by the dam and just drive into Bunbury for the day.  We ended up staying one night and had a camp fire.  There was only two other lots of people there and they all left in the morning.  We didn't feel safe leaving our van there, so we hooked up and went to Bunbury.

We had a couple of nights at the caravan park.  Not so nice, but OK.  Kids had fun playing mini golf and on the jumping pillow.  Mark went for his job interview.  Went really well, looks like he will have a job waiting for him in Geraldton, fingers crossed.

We went to the Dolphin Discovery Centre, was interesting, only fairly small.  We saw some dolphins in near the shore, but they didn't come in to be fed.  Science lesson completed for the day.

We had a drive around Bunbury, took in the sights.  Not sure there was many, just a typical working coastal town. Looked at the lighthouse and tall tower, in the wind.  We also managed to go to Mash brewery for Mark to have a few tastings.

That's it for Bunbury, not very exciting sorry.  We basically only stopped there for Marks job interview.  Next stop Perth........
