A little bit more of Geraldon 2013

After looking through my photos I've realised I missed a few good ones from the end of last year in Gero. So I thought I would add them now, better late than never : )
I went for a walk around the neighbourhood and took a few photos.  The beach is Pages beach, which initially we loved but now is completely covered in metre high seaweed.  Gotta love WA tides and wind!  I also took a photo of the grain piles.  Its been interesting for us and the kids to see the big road trains bringing in the grain and watching them store it in the big yards.  Also been rather dusty too, lots of wheat dust and salt spray on everything.  A big past time, and a reason why Geraldton is so popular is for the kite surfing and wind surfing.  We often see groups of kite surfers out, pretty cool to see how fast they go and the tricks they can do.

End of year, means Christmas functions.  And of course, Marks and mine ended up being on the same night!  So we went to mine for entree and main and Marks for dessert.  We had a great time at both, good company, a few laughs and yummy food.  Plus it was lovely to get dress up :)

And just a few more pics of caravan life and the lead up to Christmas.  We went to the Christmas carols.  It was a little different.  We've been to carols in Tassie, Alice Springs and Adelaide and as Jake said "it was the worst carols ever".  Unfortunately it was rather religious, with bible readings and all.  Plus there weren't many songs the kids knew and no visit from Santa.  We did make the paper though.

Ready for the school concert

A very happy girl who got the school Junior award
